What is iTerm2?
iTerm2 is a replacement for Terminal and the successor to iTerm. It works on Macs with macOS 10.14 or newer. iTerm2 brings the terminal into the modern age with features you never knew you always wanted.
Why Do I Want It?
- In the question “What are the best power user tools for macOS?” iTerm2 is ranked 1st while 1Password is ranked 3rd. The most important reason people chose iTerm2 is: Other than being able to customize the various shortcuts, iTerm2 also lets you customize the colorscheme, font, transparency, etc.
- I would really love for 1Password for macOS to show suggestions for apps (like on Android and—occasionally—iOS). For example, my Quicken file is encrypted, and I store the password for that file in 1Password. This is what displays in 1Password when I click the menu bar icon with Quicken as the active application.
